Some of their most impactful Community Broadband Networks deployed are a collaboration of the School District and the Municipality. The “BLink” network in Council Bluffs Iowa and “Access Eastside” in San Jose California are perfect examples of how schools and municipalities have come together to solve a common problem in the community. The deployment of both of these networks were “pre-pandemic”, so when the outbreak occurred, the Students and Community within the coverage area still had access to education and information. Another interesting fact is both of these network were built “success based”, as in, the network doesn’t expand to a new phase unless the previous phase was successful. The “BLink” network currently consists of 12 Phases and the “Access Eastside” network currently consists of 8 Phases, which is a testament of their success.
